Join local historian Larry for an immersive walk through the heart of Malden’s legacy. His tours offer a deep dive into the town’s timeline, tracing the story from the pioneering Ruffners to the establishment of the Dickinson family’s salt empire. You’ll explore the salt beginnings that built the valley and see how that industry shaped the community we see today.
Guided tours are held every Friday at 12:00 PM.

Step onto the grounds of a seventh-generation family business and see how Malden’s "white gold" is made. You'll learn the history of the ancient Iapetus Ocean and the modern methods used to harvest this world-class salt.
Tour Pricing & Options:
General Admission: $5 per person (Ages 13+).
Children: Free for ages 12 and under.
School Groups: Free admission for educational groups.
Bus Tours: $5 per person.
Experiential Tours: $18 for a more hands-on look at the process.
